Avaya IP500 Office
The IP500 combines the best features of the existing Avaya IP Office range with the latest software and design. A modular system, it utilises existing IP Office handset ranges, both digital and IP to provide the perfect combination of extensions for your particular application. It also makes maximum possible reuse of existing IP Office assets.
The Professional Edition can manage between 2 and 272 extensions, while the standard edition can handle up to 32 stations (24 Digital, the remainder being a mix of analogue to DECT or IP handsets). However, if a company needs to expand, so can the system. A simple upgrade via a licence key allows you to expand the system to the full 272 extensions.
The IP500 also retains familiar call management applications, such as SoftConsole, PC Softphone and IP Office manager. The telephone systems core software has also been upgraded to Version 4.0, allowing new features and functionality.
One example is support for SIP based trunks, a virtual trunk line over an IP based network such as the Internet. It can connect to an external service that allows it to 'break out' into the PSTN, or with an advanced networking licence connect to IP500 systems together via an IP based Virtual Private Network (VPN). In effect you can expand the number of external lines on the system, without adding hardware.
Other features include Voicemail, 64 participant Multi-conference, Compact Business Centre and CTI Link Pro. With the Professional Upgrade, you also get Voicemail Pro, Advanced Voice networking (IP), Contact Centre, Contact Store and Meet-Me flexible conferencing.
